OSIsoft PI Analytics and Intelligence Engineer
Full Time Direct Hire
Salary is DOE (target is ~100-120k and 10% bonus)
San Diego, CA 92128 (Carmel Mountain, off the 15 and 56)

Required Skills / Experience:
• Proficient with PI System architecture, design and best practices
• Experience building and supporting PI and Asset Framework
• Strong experience configuring and using OSIsoft PI Systems (PI Server, AF, PI Analytics, Notifications, etc.)
• Experience building AF Templates, Analytics, Notifications and Event Frames
• Experience in OSIsoft Developer technologies
• Advanced troubleshooting techniques
• Advanced desktop skills required, including Windows and Microsoft Office; strong mix of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, Access, Visio and Outlook
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similar
• Available for occasional afterhours support and travel in North America

• Working knowledge of Industrial communication protocols (OPC, Modbus, IEC 61850/60870, DNP3, Loggernet.)
• Hands on knowledge of information query tools, such as PI DataLink, Power Pivot, SQL Report Builder or other report writing tools
• Knowledge of MS SQL and other relational databases
• Programming skills preferred (C/C++, Javascript, Angular, Java, C#, VB .NET, HTML5, etc.)
Soft Skills:
• Proficient verbal and written communications skills; able to address business issues and conflicts in a professional, constructive, and non-technical manner; Ability to provide technical training to groups of users.
• Ability to work independently and with a team to develop innovative solutions to technical problems.
• Highly motivated, self-starter and works with minimal supervision
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Commitment to high standards, integrity and ethics

The Analytics and Intelligence Engineer will be well versed in the complete OSIsoft PI product line and Best Practices, especially with AF. While the ideal candidate should be able to handle any PI related task, the main focus will be on data governance, ensuring high quality data. The candidate should be able to support end user questions and issues and respond to alerts in a timely fashion. The candidate should be able to communicate effectively and document work done. This position requires diligence and flexibility without sacrificing quality. It also requires a mindset of continual improvement and eyes on the long-term reliability and business value of the system.

• Develop Best Practices for PI data governance
• Ensure trustworthy, reliable data by continuous and automated monitoring and alerting
• Heavily utilize AF to tackle abstract team and customer problems
• Improve Data Quality, including accuracy, accessibility and completeness, and usability
• Improve Data usefulness by designing concrete solutions to customer problems
• Build Measurable KPIs for system performance
• Contribute to the global vision and direction of the overall PI infrastructure
• Leverage AF technologies to oversee and manage the PI system
• Cleanup, Normalize, and Structure Data for more efficient consumption
• Author and contribute to system and team documentation
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Working Conditions
80% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers, servers, peripherals, phones, and general office equipment. 20% of the time is spent traveling to other customer and vendor locations for the purpose of project related work and to attend conferences, trade shows, and professional development events. Some 24x7 support required.
