SQL Server DBA
Direct Hire
Salary is DOE; target is 110-120k
San Marcos, CA 92069

Strong SQL Server DBA Experience
Performance tuning: physical server level, database level and query tuning
Thorough knowledge of SQL Server 2008 and 2012 (2014 and 2016 desired)
Understand complex database concepts as well as the implications of different database designs on performance, scalability and maintainability
Experience with Virtualized Databases (ESX Hypervisor desired)
Experience working in an environment with at least 10+ databases
Ability to plan, organize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong communication skills

Nice to Have:
Database design and development

Heavy on production database administration; design, development, SSIS, etc. is secondary
Installation, administration and maintenance of database server instances
Monitoring and performance tuning: physical server level, database level and query tuning
Developing and maintaining SSIS packages
Database design and SQL development
Assists in other duties as needed and directed
Propose ideas or find ways to improve services, systems, and/or procedures
