Web Developer / Software Engineer (2 openings)
Direct Hire
Salary is DOE; ~65-90k

Required Skills/Experience:
• Dynamic Software Engineering skills and mindset (our environment includes both .NET and Java stack and front end and backend development); you don’t have to have all of those skills but we need you to be comfortable / interested
• 6mo to 5 years of professional software experience
• Basic to intermediate understanding of front-end development: UI/UX, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript
• Basic to intermediate understanding of back-end development using Java and/or C#, and Web Services (SOAP & RESTful)
• Basic to intermediate understanding of relational databases and SQL development
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of source control, unit and integration testing
• Basic to intermediate understanding of the full software development lifecycle
• Able to work during regular business hours and occasional nights or weekends as needed to meet and support business partner and community/business networking or events
• Able to travel occasionally to other branches in Southern and Northern California

Desired Skills/Experience:
• BSCS or similar
• Microsoft or Oracle (Java) certifications are a plus
• Financial Industry

• Analyze, design and develop system enhancements as an individual contributor, as well as a member of the engineering team.
• Partner and build relationships with the technology team and business associates to help increase the software engineer’s knowledge and ability within the organization.
• Build front-end and back-end solutions for core banking system using HTML, CSS, Java, JavaScript and SQL languages (DB2 & T-SQL).
• Develop reports and data solutions using the TIBCO’s Jaspersoft and Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for enterprise data needs.
• Develop new business solutions to help optimize business process through automation.
• Possess a passion for continuous learning and seeks out new opportunities to increase skills and experience.
• Contribute to and support the software development lifecycle, coding practices, and organizational standards.
• Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed.

As part of a small development team in the financial services industry, the Software Engineer will have broad exposure to many aspects of software development including leveraging our core processing solution. This role will require the ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements and technologies, in addition to delivering timely, quality solutions. The Software Engineer will be innovative, and must possess a strong customer-focused vision and “outside the box” thinking, along with a pragmatic and organized approach to delivering the right solutions at the right time.
