Salary is DOE; target is ~130-150k+ and Profit Sharing

Required
• AWS - Prior experience includes one year of experience working with AWS technologies and services including VPCs, EC2, ELB, CloudWatch, RDS and S3; developing automation strategies for build and deploy processes to make an efficient pipeline for getting the software from development to production
• Automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc. (Terraform strongly desired)
• Scripting / Development
• Ability to build and manage a technology stack

Desired
• Strong Linux Administration
• Moderate/Strong experience with operational services from AWS: EC2 (autoscaling), ALB (load balancer), ECS (containers, service for docker), Elasticache, Code Pipeline
• AWS certifications

Responsibilities
• Performance analysis and improvement of production and development of autoscaling systems
• Create and leverage monitoring/alerts to ensure system uptime and optimum performance
• Help troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analyses that create effective mitigation strategies.
• Design, implement, monitor, and scale self-service oriented infrastructure
• Work with development teams to create a robust and maintainable infrastructure that will scale from both a performance and maintenance perspective. Design said infrastructure in such a way to minimize roadblocks for developers who design new systems while keeping the resulting systems robust and maintainable.

Summary
You will be responsible for maintaining our high service levels for video streaming/delivery, ad serving, and other essential facets involved in producing a high-quality experience for billions of visitors per month from all over the world. As our DevOps Engineer, you’ll work closely with the CTO to monitor performance apps and be an instrumental figure in the process of continuous improvement. You will initially be running projects related to a major new product release. It will launch in ~60 months and is ~40% complete.
• The dev team is 11 people (5 local developers, 1 UX, and 5 remote developers)
• Currently using Agile processes such as Kanban boards but are not fully scrum currently. They are open to going fully scrum.
