Salary is ~110-120k + bonus and stock options
Currently fully remote, office in San Diego, CA 92121

Required
• Strong command line Linux (Centos, RedHat, Ubuntu) – performance tuning, troubleshoot rogue processes, manage logs, manage backup / recovery, software deployment, etc.
• Shell Scripting
• Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins, CircleCI, Travis)
• Experience with at least some DevOps / Automation / infrastructure as Code (Puppet Ansible, Chef, Terraform, Cloudformation, etc.)
• Database / Cloud experience

Desired

Summary
The DevOps Engineer bridges the gap between Software Development and the Operations teams. You will be responsible for increasing implementation velocity, as well as developer velocity to deliver product features and functionality. From creating and implementing systems to analyzing data or improving existing ones, the purpose of the DevOps Engineer is to increase productivity in the workplace.

Responsibilities
• Support and add to the platform as new features are designed and integrated
• Server and infrastructure maintenance: Patching and upgrades of servers and apps
• Advance our infrastructure as Code (AWS, Puppet, Terraform) and our SaaS software product (PHP, ReactJS, PostgreSQL)
• Maintain and track errors between software service components (KAFKA, Redis, Mirth, Tableau, Apache, php-fpm)
• Work directly with the software development team (12) to build tools and best practices that help create a frictionless deployment (CI/CD) environment
• Participate in software team sync ups and present the latest tech in DevOps to the team
• Optimize our Software Development Life Cycle to getting code to production fast and safe
• Own and embrace rapidly changing technologies, and present a 6-month and 1-year roadmap for upgrades and future direction
• Implement and maintain system health and performance monitors and alerts
• Create an upgrade plan for the current software platform.
