Linux Administration, Application Support positions (DevOps)
Direct Hire
Salary is DOE; Target is 80-110k+; there are 2 positions at multiple levels

Required Skills/Experience:
• RedHat Enterprise Linux
• Extensive experience in applications operations support and incident management
• Experience working in a Software development environment
• Scripting and/or Development skills (Shell, Java, etc.)
• Advanced knowledge of SQL utilizing MSSQL
• Working knowledge of Microsoft IIS
• Working knowledge of middleware technologies; preferably Tibco

Desired Skills/Experience:
• Experience with monitoring tools: Splunk, SQL Monitor, AppDynamics or similar
• Experience with automated build tools: Bamboo, Chef or similar
• Understanding of regulatory requirements in medical device industry and implications on verification and validation
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or relate discipline; advanced degree strongly preferred

• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills; Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
• Critical thinker, able to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Very good understanding of business processes and ability to apply educational and practical experience to simplify business processes, standardize business processes and provide simplified and standardized solutions to achieve the business objectives
• Ability to anticipate business challenges and provide solutions

• Work closely with Marketing, Product Development, Software Support teams, and customers in support of HI applications and implement necessary solutions
• Have strong functional and technical understanding of HI systems and their architecture
• Work with other HI Apps support analysts to develop good quality solutions to assist with the support operations
• Work release process of new versions of applications
• Drive requirements, design and possible development of utilities and small scale applications to increase efficiencies within the application support function
• Define and implement monitoring and alerting data points as proactive measures to increase the visibility of critical application functionality
• Develop dashboards and reports as required to communicate to various levels of Management
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) efforts when required
• Serve as team member responsible to maintain high system availability, including taking part in a 24x7 on call rotation
• Lead in the evolution and growth of HI support functionality
• Have good understanding of data models for supported applications to help with troubleshooting and reporting
• Have good understanding and adhere to Patient privacy policy

The Application Support Engineer will be responsible for providing functional and production support to users of Healthcare Informatics (HI) systems and other commercial solutions. The main focus will be to provide support and to meet Service Level Agreements and operational requirements.
