Required
5+ years of infrastructure/operations experience
SaaS/PaaS background with virtualization (e.g. Xen/KVM) + AWS (S3, EC2, etc.)
Solid scripting (Python, Ruby, etc)
Agile
Network management (including network stack, network tuning, load balancing, subnets/VLANs)
Automated deployment and automated software tasks
Understanding of file system and storage configurations such as NFS, SSD data replication
Hands-on experience with configuration management and orchestration tools like Puppet
Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios or Sensu
Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general software management best practices
Excellent architecture and technical support documentation skills

Responsibilities
Develop and support cloud infrastructure designs and implementations and being directly involved in the software deployment process
Use monitoring tools to find problems and resolve and/or escalate to development
Design and deploy new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems
Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records
Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems
Propose and create system design models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to development teams
Plan and perform Operating System and software upgrades
Provide general assistance for Technical Support
Assist in the development and implementation of disaster recovery plans
Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of systems development efforts, and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and systems flexibility
Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions

Enterprise Linux (RedHat or similar) installation, configuration and administration
Strong experience with Software Configuration Management, Source Control and Provisioning, Build and Release, Continuous Integration, and Monitoring

Summary
Support the creation, deployment, and operations of a large product suite that enables content protection and security for video delivered via satellite, cable, or the Internet. Collaborate with teammates to build, test, deliver, and monitor high-performing, scalable, high-quality products. Work collaboratively with software engineering to deploy and operate our systems, help automate and streamline our operations and processes, and build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations. Collaborates with team and peers to support the delivery high-performing, scalable, high-quality products. Deploying and operate our systems, helping automate and streamline our operations and processes, building and maintaining tools for deployment, monitoring and operations, and producing technical documentation. Works as part of the cross-functional product development lifecycle (PDLC) team to promote increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of our processes. Collaborate with our corporate IT and production DevOps teams to support the product suite throughout its lifecycle.
